I agree to the Contract Below.
This contract is between Jake Taylor (seller) and the buyer submitting this contract. Upon signing the Buyer Signature and Information section of this agreement, the buyer understands and agrees to all of the provisions of the contract. The provisions of the contract are as follows:
1. The animal is being sold “on hoof” prior to harvest and will be raised and finished at WaHoo Ranch.
2. The cost of beef will be $4.75 - 5.25/lb. hanging weight (depending on amount of beef chosen), which will be determined by the processor.
3. The animal product will be raised free of hormones and steroids while being raised at WaHoo Ranch. WaHoo Ranch does disclose that antibiotics are used when necessary to keep our animals healthy. All beef is raised and finished grass and grain fed as well as raised and finished in an unconfined manner. The animal may be treated with a dewormer product, if needed, in accordance with the recommendations of the de-wormer manufacturer.
4. The seller will have the option to continue or to cancel the contract. If the seller would like to cancel the contract, a full refund of the deposit will be issued.
5. The meat product must be picked up at the processor – North Fork Packing in Oso, WA.
6. All meat products will be labelled “not for sale” after the animal is processed, restricting the sale of cut meat to another party after pick-up from the processor.
7. The buyer is responsible for all slaughter, transport, and processing costs.
8. The final balance, due to Jake Taylor, for the price of the animal product will be determined by the hanging weight of the animal after the animal is processed.
9. All deposits are non-refundable and will be used as a credit towards the total cost of the animal product.
10. In the event the seller will not be able to provide the product contracted, the deposit will be returned to the buyer.
11. Payment is due 3 days after the buyer is notified the product is available for pick-up from the processor. Any unpaid balance after the due date will receive a 5% interest charge for every thirty days late
